Project Engineer
A respected civil engineering firm based in Salt Lake City is looking for a Project Engineer to contribute to its expanding land development team. This position is ideal for a driven and collaborative professional who is passionate about creating high-quality civil infrastructure for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and design of land development projects, including site layout, grading, drainage, utility, and roadway systems.
- Develop construction plans, engineering reports, and permit documentation.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, and design stormwater management systems.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure efficient project execution.
- Participate in site visits and assist with construction administration tasks.
- Maintain accurate project records and contribute to cost estimating and scheduling efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 4 years of experience in site civil design or land development.
- PE licensure in Utah or the ability to obtain it is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Solid understanding of grading, drainage, and utility design principles.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of local development regulations and permitting processes in Utah.
- Experience working on residential subdivisions, commercial developments, or public infrastructure projects.
