Project Estimator- Industrial Construction
A well-established general contractor is looking to add an experienced Construction Estimator to their preconstruction team in the Atlanta area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with a strong project pipeline and a collaborative culture.
The Role
You'll play a key role in the pricing and planning of construction projects, from early conceptual estimates through final bid submission.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing detailed estimates, budgets, and take-offs from schematic design through CD level
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and scopes to identify risks and opportunities
- Working closely with preconstruction, operations, and subcontractors during bid phases
- Soliciting, leveling, and analyzing subcontractor proposals
- Supporting value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
- Assisting with project handovers into construction teams
What They're Looking For
- 3+ years' experience as an Estimator within a general contractor
- Strong knowledge of take-offs, estimating software, and construction means & methods
- Experience estimating projects such as industrial, mixed-use, or healthcare (sector flexible)
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
