Key Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical engineering projects from proposal development through final delivery
- Plan and oversee subsurface exploration programs, field investigations, and drilling activities
- Perform and review geotechnical analyses for foundations, retaining structures, earthworks, pavements, excavations, and ground improvement systems
- Prepare and review geotechnical reports, technical specifications, calculations, and recommendations
- Interpret laboratory and field testing data and develop practical engineering solutions
- Provide engineering support during construction activities and respond to field conditions
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables
- Mentor junior engineers and support the ongoing development of technical staff
- Support business development efforts and contribute to client relationship management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain through comity
- 5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience
- Strong experience with subsurface investigations and geotechnical report preparation
- Knowledge of shallow and deep foundation design, retaining systems, earth retention, and soil mechanics
- Experience managing projects and interacting directly with clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
