About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking engineering consultancy based in Baltimore, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to lead innovative projects across a variety of sectors, including commercial, institutional, and healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design process for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Oversee project development from concept through construction administration.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- PE license required.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in building systems design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and mechanical design software (e.g., Trane Trace, HAP).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with sustainable design and LEED projects is a plus.
