Senior HVAC Engineer (Mission Critical)
Location: Fully Remote (U.S.)
A leading multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm is seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer to support the design and delivery of mission-critical facilities, including data centers and other high-availability environments. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex projects, manage client relationships, and collaborate with industry experts on some of the most technically demanding projects in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HVAC and mechanical system design for mission-critical facilities.
- Manage projects from concept through construction administration.
- Perform engineering calculations, equipment selection, code analysis, and system design.
- Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology teams.
- Serve as a primary client contact and oversee project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Conduct QA/QC reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
- Support proposal development and business growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- PE license required.
- 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience within an MEP consulting environment.
- Experience designing mission-critical facilities, such as data centers or other high-reliability infrastructure.
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and HVAC load calculation/modeling software.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
