A growing engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to join its Orange County team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced project leaders on a diverse range of water and wastewater projects, while gaining early exposure to project coordination, client interaction, and technical decision-making.

The Opportunity
You will join a lean, high-performing team where engineers are given real ownership and visibility across projects. Unlike larger organizations, this role provides direct involvement in decision-making and exposure to senior leadership, allowing for faster professional development and progression.
The position combines hands-on technical work with increasing responsibility in project delivery, offering a well-rounded platform for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and design of water and wastewater infrastructure, including:
- Treatment systems
- Collection and conveyance systems
- Pump stations and storage facilities
- Prepare engineering calculations, design drawings, and technical reports
- Assist in coordinating project tasks, schedules, and deliverables
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and support client interaction
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain in the near term
- Approximately 6-10 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering
- Experience in the design of treatment and/or conveyance systems
- Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills

Compensation
$95,000 - $120,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus bonus and comprehensive benefits.
