Sr. Automation Engineer
We're seeking a skilled Automation & Controls Engineer to join our team, delivering cutting-edge process control solutions for clients in the Life Sciences sector. This role involves hands-on design, programming, and implementation of Emerson DeltaV systems, with a strong focus on compliance, validation, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of process automation systems tailored to pharmaceutical and biotech environments.
- Develop and implement Emerson DeltaV Distributed Control Systems (DCS), including programming, testing, and documentation.
- Create and maintain technical documentation such as User Requirement Specifications, Software/Hardware Design Specifications, and validation protocols.
- Design electrical panel schematics and define scope of supply for automation projects.
- Oversee assigned automation projects, ensuring timely progress and successful delivery.
- Support on-site installation, commissioning, and startup of control systems.
- Collaborate with plant personnel to optimize control strategies and system performance.
- Provide training to engineers and operators on system functionality and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Proficient in S88 Batch control principles and interpretation of P&ID drawings.
- Extensive experience with DeltaV architecture and automation documentation.
- Proven track record in commissioning and startup of control systems.
- Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, Wonderware, and GE is advantageous.
- Understanding of control system and PC networking technologies is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of cGMP standards, FDA regulations, and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
