A growing structural engineering firm is looking for a talented Structural Designer / Drafter to support a wide range of residential and commercial projects. The firm values technical excellence, collaboration, and professional development while maintaining a flexible work environment.

About the Role

The Structural Designer / Drafter will work closely with engineers and project managers to develop construction documents and design drawings for a variety of building types. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys producing high-quality technical drawings and contributing to successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

Prepare structural construction documents and detailed drawings.
Develop plans, elevations, sections, and structural details.
Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project team members.
Revise drawings based on engineering markups and design changes.
Maintain drafting standards and quality control procedures.
Assist with project coordination and document management.

Qualifications

Experience as a Structural Designer, Drafter, or CAD/BIM Technician.
Strong experience with:
- Wood-framed construction
- Multifamily residential projects
- Single-family residential projects
- Retail developments
- Commercial buildings
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Strong attention to detail and construction documentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
California-based candidates preferred.
