Structural Engineer Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Structural Project Manager to join a growing structural engineering team in Seattle. This individual will play a key role in the management, design, and delivery of a diverse range of projects while serving as a primary point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and internal project teams.
The ideal candidate is a technically strong structural engineer who enjoys client interaction, mentoring junior staff, and taking ownership of projects from concept through construction. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex and high-profile projects while contributing to business development and long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead structural engineering projects from proposal through construction completion.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocations.
- Monitor project financial performance, scope, and profitability.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and consultants throughout all project phases.
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
Structural Engineering & Design
- Perform and oversee structural analysis and design for a variety of building types.
- Review calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Provide technical guidance and quality control throughout project development.
- Evaluate existing structures and develop retrofit or renovation solutions when required.
- Support construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and site observations.
Client Development & Relationship Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor to existing clients and project partners.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with architects, developers, owners, and contractors.
- Participate in business development efforts, networking activities, and industry events.
- Identify opportunities for repeat work and expanded services.
- Assist with proposals, project pursuits, and client presentations.
Team Leadership
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, designers, and project engineers.
- Delegate work effectively while maintaining accountability for project deliverables.
- Foster collaboration across multidisciplinary project teams.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and professional development initiatives.

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

- Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, wood, masonry, and foundation design.
- Experience with applicable building codes and structural design standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
