Senior Traffic Engineer / Project Manager
We are seeking a Senior Engineer / Project Manager to lead and collaborate with a team of engineers and technicians on a variety of traffic engineering projects. This role involves both technical expertise and client-facing responsibilities, offering opportunities for leadership and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and contribute to the design and production of traffic engineering projects.
- Perform analysis, design, and implementation for:
- Traffic impact studies
- Traffic operations studies
- Capacity analysis
- Traffic signal design and timing
- Signing, striping, lighting plans
- Traffic control plans
- Provide excellent client service and maintain proactive communication throughout projects.
- Ensure compliance with local and state agency rules, regulations, and standards.
- Participate in internal learning and development programs to enhance technical and leadership skills.
Qualifications
- Education: BS or MS in Civil Engineering (Transportation emphasis preferred)
- Licensure: Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) required; PTOE preferred
- Experience: 6-8 years in traffic engineering and project management
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in traffic analysis software such as Synchro, HCS, ArcGIS, VISSIM, and TransCAD
- Strong understanding of state and local regulations, standards, and procedures
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
