Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid/Flexible Schedule Available)
Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 annually + ownership and comprehensive benefits

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Wastewater Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and delivery of municipal wastewater projects throughout the Seattle metropolitan area. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to local utility clients while managing multidisciplinary project teams responsible for wastewater treatment, collection systems, pump stations, and conveyance infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with project management and client relationship skills to successfully deliver projects from concept through construction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage wastewater infrastructure projects for municipal and public-sector clients.
  • Lead project planning, scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and resource coordination.
  • Oversee the design of wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, force mains, gravity sewers, and related infrastructure.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, and process engineers.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, interviews, and client relationship management.
  • Monitor project financial performance and ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and project staff.
  • Support construction administration activities, including submittal review, RFIs, and site visits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 7+ years of experience in wastewater engineering, planning, or design.
  • Demonstrated experience managing municipal wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes, collection systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with Washington State municipalities and utility agencies is preferred.

  • Wastewater treatment plant upgrades and expansions.
  • Sewer collection system rehabilitation and improvement programs.
  • Pump station and conveyance projects.
  • Capital improvement program (CIP) planning and execution.
  • Client management and business development responsibilities.
