Overview:
My client, a rapidly expanding global data center solutions provider, is seeking an Assistant Electrical Manager to support operations at one of their state-of-the-art facilities in Northern Virginia. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with a strong background in data center electrical systems and a passion for operational excellence in mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure continuous availability of critical electrical systems.
  • Create and manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Develop procedures and checklists within the site's CMMS platform.
  • Coordinate and inspect vendor-performed services.
  • Manage budgets and costs related to electrical infrastructure.
  • Promote adherence to operational policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate optimal electrical solutions into facility designs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Engineering or a technology-related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations and maintenance within a high-reliability data center environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, UPS, standby generators, fire suppression, and security systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical power and control drawings.
  • Strong written communication and technical writing skills.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and ability to identify industry trends.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Must carry a company-issued mobile phone and be available for after-hours communication.
  • Some travel may be required.
