Role Overview:
As a Commissioning Field Specialist II, you will play a key role in the execution of commissioning activities for electrical and mechanical systems in data centers. You'll work closely with project teams to validate system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with design and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform functional performance testing of mission-critical systems (HVAC, electrical, fire protection, etc.)
- Review design documents, submittals, and equipment specifications
- Develop and execute commissioning scripts and procedures
- Document findings and generate detailed reports
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and clients to resolve issues
- Travel to project sites across the U.S. (up to 75%)
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in commissioning, field engineering, or related technical roles
- Familiarity with data center infrastructure and MEP systems
- Strong understanding of commissioning processes and standards
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Willingness to travel extensively
Preferred:
- Experience with electrical systems, UPS, generators, and BMS controls
- Certifications such as CxA, LEED, or similar are a plus
