Drainage Project Engineer
An established engineering firm with a five-decade legacy of delivering impactful infrastructure solutions is expanding its footprint in the Chicago area. Known for its collaborative culture and commitment to technical excellence, the firm continues to build strong client relationships and deliver innovative, high-quality results across a range of public and private sector projects.
To support its continued growth, the firm is seeking a Drainage Project Engineer to take the lead on key transportation drainage projects and contribute to the success of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Phase I and II drainage analysis and design efforts
- Assist with proposals, scope development, and client interviews
- Provide QA/QC oversight and mentor junior staff
- Communicate with clients and regulatory agencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Civil Engineering
- 4+ years of relevant experience in roadway and infrastructure design
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Illinois
- Experience with drainage-related permitting (USACE, IDNR-OWR, etc.)
- Proficiency in MicroStation/Geopak, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, HY-8
- Familiarity with Illinois DOT work flows and standards
