Electrical Designer
A respected MEP and structural engineering firm with offices across Florida is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to support its growing portfolio of healthcare projects. The firm provides comprehensive design services for hospitals, medical office buildings, and other healthcare facilities, with a focus on compliance, innovation, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Design electrical systems for healthcare facilities, including lighting, power distribution, emergency systems, and low-voltage infrastructure
Ensure designs meet AHCA and other healthcare-specific regulatory requirements
Collaborate with mechanical, plumbing, and structural teams to deliver integrated solutions
Prepare construction documents, specifications, and code-compliant designs
Coordinate with clients, architects, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications:
5-10 years of experience in electrical design for healthcare buildings
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical design software
Strong understanding of healthcare codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, AHCA)
Experience with lighting controls, emergency power systems, and low-voltage systems (voice/data, fire alarm, CCTV)
Excellent communication and coordination skills
