Project Architect
Our client, a growing multidisciplinary Architecture + Engineering firm with national reach, is seeking a Project Architect to join their team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They primarily serve clients in the large-scale commercial, federal, entertainment, manufacturing and distribution, and corporate workplace project markets.

Responsibilities
Design Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight for design development and documentation. Uphold design integrity while ensuring alignment with technical standards and accuracy.
Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with project managers to manage scope, schedule, and budget. Facilitate coordination among consultants and internal engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Technical Execution: Lead the production and review of construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD. Ensure deliverables meet quality benchmarks and comply with applicable codes and regulations.
Mentorship: Guide and support junior architects and interns, fostering their technical growth and enhancing project workflow efficiency.
Client Engagement: Actively participate in client meetings, clearly communicating design concepts, progress updates, and addressing feedback to maintain alignment with client goals.
Construction Administration: Provide support during the construction phase, including reviewing submittals and RFIs, conducting site visits, and managing punch list activities.
Requirements
Experience: 8+ years of experience required if unlicensed; if licensed, 5+ years experience required
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
License: Architectural registration preferred; if unlicensed, progress toward exam completion is preferred
Software: Revit proficiency required; AutoCAD experience preferred
Soft Skills: strong communicator, competent design skills, ability to mentor junior staff, and positive mindset
- LEED Accreditation is a plus
