An established engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead its Site Engineering Department in the Charlotte, NC office. This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee a diverse portfolio of land development projects across sectors such as commercial, industrial, health-care, senior living, residential, and higher education.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Charlotte-based site engineering team, overseeing all phases of land development projects from concept to completion.
- Direct the preparation of construction drawings, specifications, engineering calculations, and construction services including RFIs, submittal reviews, and site inspections.
- Ensure projects meet technical standards, regulatory requirements, budgets, and timelines.
- Implement best practices and quality control measures across the department.
- Coordinate cross-discipline efforts to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Serve as Engineer of Record and maintain accountability for technical accuracy and compliance.
- Support client relationship development and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Perform administrative duties including staff scheduling, proposal writing, billing, and reporting.
- Travel regionally as needed for project and client engagements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in land development design.
- Familiarity with the Charlotte/Mecklenburg County market preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage clients, projects, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Hydrology Studio; experience with Newforma and EPANet 2.2 is a plus.
