Senior Engineer
A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Water Engineer to join their team in Virginia. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex water infrastructure projects, contribute to sustainable solutions, and mentor the next generation of engineering professionals.
This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who is passionate about water resource management and is looking to take on a leadership role in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the design and development of water and wastewater treatment systems, pipelines, pump stations, and related infrastructure
- Conducting water quality modeling and analysis
- Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations at the federal, state, and local levels
- Reviewing and approving engineering designs and technical documentation
- Supporting proposal development and client engagement efforts
- Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff
- Participating in industry events and client meetings to represent the firm and its capabilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater engineering
- Proficiency in engineering design software, including 3D/4D CADD tools
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams
