Senior Preconstruction Manager
We're working with a highly respected, employee-owned general contractor with a strong national presence and a reputation for delivering complex, high-quality projects across a range of sectors. As they continue to grow, they're looking to appoint a Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead preconstruction efforts on major projects across the country.
The Role
This is a strategic leadership position where you'll oversee all aspects of the preconstruction phase-from early client engagement and design collaboration to cost planning and risk management. You'll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects are set up for success from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead preconstruction planning and execution across multiple large-scale projects.
- Develop and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and value engineering strategies.
- Collaborate with design, operations, and commercial teams to align project goals.
- Manage bid strategies, subcontractor engagement, and tender processes.
- Present preconstruction deliverables to clients and executive leadership.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience in preconstruction or estimating within the general contracting space.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Proven track record of managing complex, multi-million-pound projects.
- Proficiency in estimating software and construction planning tools.
- Degree in Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
