Senior Engineer - Wastewater Treatment
A well-regarded civil engineering firm with a strong footprint across the Pacific Northwest is seeking a Senior Engineer with wastewater treatment expertise to join their team. This role can be based in Northwest Washington or Central Washington, depending on location preference.
This opportunity is well-suited for someone who enjoys tackling technically complex work, managing a variety of projects, and working closely with clients in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage and deliver wastewater-focused projects from planning through design and construction support
- Lead efforts on sewer system planning, engineering reports, and treatment/conveyance design
- Contribute to the design of treatment facilities, pump stations, and collection systems, including rehabilitation and upgrades
- Perform engineering calculations, evaluations, and technical analyses
- Prepare reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
- Support a range of general civil design efforts as needed
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to keep projects moving effectively
What They're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or similar field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington (or ability to obtain) preferred
- Around 8+ years of experience in engineering design, ideally within municipal wastewater
- Experience with treatment process design, pump stations, and collection systems
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Someone who enjoys working as part of a team and contributing to meaningful infrastructure projects
