Wastewater Project Manager
I'm currently partnering with a growing engineering consulting firm that's looking to add an experienced Project Manager to support the continued expansion of their Municipal Water and Wastewater practice.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys more than just project delivery. My client is seeking a leader who can build lasting relationships with municipalities and utility clients, identify new opportunities, and play a key role in growing a well-established water and wastewater business.
You'll lead the delivery of critical infrastructure projects while working closely with public-sector clients to help improve and maintain essential water, wastewater, and utility systems. At the same time, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to business development efforts, support proposal pursuits, and help strengthen the firm's presence across the market.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing water and wastewater infrastructure projects from pursuit through delivery.
- Overseeing project scope, schedules, budgets, and overall project performance.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for municipal, utility, and public agency clients.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships while identifying future project opportunities.
- Leading multidisciplinary project teams and coordinating resources across design disciplines.
- Supporting proposal development, fee estimates, contract negotiations, and project planning.
- Managing project risks and ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout project delivery.
- Driving successful project execution while ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnership growth.
- Providing leadership, mentorship, and direction to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
What My Client Is Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Approximately 5+ years of engineering design experience within water, wastewater, municipal, or utility infrastructure.
- Previous experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of consulting engineering and project delivery practices.
- Experience working directly with municipal clients, utilities, or public agencies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management tools, and scheduling software.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
- A growth-oriented mindset with an interest in helping expand a water and wastewater practice.
Why This Opportunity?
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take on a visible role within a growing practice, work on impactful municipal infrastructure projects, and help shape the future growth of a respected engineering firm.
