To support continued growth in the New England region, my client is seeking an experienced and motivated Bridge Engineer to join a thriving and expanding bridge practice. This individual will provide technical leadership and contribute to a diverse portfolio of bridge projects across the Northeast.
The role includes involvement in all phases of bridge design-from early scoping through final plans, specifications, estimates (PS&E), and construction engineering services.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support the design of various bridge structures, including steel, concrete, post‑tensioned, and prestressed concrete.
- Design related structures such as retaining walls, gantries, and foundations.
- Perform bridge load ratings.
- Conduct inspections of bridges and culverts.
- Support the growth and development of a dynamic bridge engineering team in Massachusetts and throughout New England.
- Deliver innovative, high‑quality designs utilizing advanced technologies and accelerated bridge construction (ABC) techniques.
- Contribute to projects delivered through Design‑Bid‑Build, Design‑Build, and Construction Management‑at‑Risk.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural, Structural Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 7 years of related bridge or structural engineering experience.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- PE license in Massachusetts.
- Additional PE licenses in CT or NH (or ability to obtain via reciprocity).
- Massachusetts SE certification.
- 7+ years of MassDOT bridge design experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation/OpenBridge.
