Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct forensic investigations of structural failures, construction defects, and damage from natural or man-made events.
- Perform on-site assessments of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Analyze structural systems and materials to determine cause and extent of damage.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and expert opinions for legal and insurance purposes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, architectural, and materials engineers.
- Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas or ability to obtain licensure.
- 5+ years of experience in structural engineering; forensic or litigation support experience is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with structural analysis tools and reporting software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently.
