General Superintendent
Our client is seeking a highly experienced General Superintendent to lead and oversee construction activities for large-scale water treatment plant projects throughout the region. This is a senior-level position responsible for ensuring project execution meets the highest standards of safety, quality, scheduling, and cost control. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep expertise in managing complex civil and mechanical infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall on-site leadership and direction for water treatment plant construction projects.
- Manage day-to-day field operations, including subcontractor oversight, scheduling, logistics, and quality control.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and client representatives to maintain clear communication and resolve issues proactively.
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Monitor construction progress, manage resources, and proactively adjust plans to meet project milestones.
- Mentor and develop field staff to support a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent, specifically overseeing water treatment plant construction projects.
- Proven background managing complex infrastructure, utility, or heavy civil projects.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, mechanical systems, process piping, concrete work, and environmental compliance.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Proficiency in construction management software, scheduling tools, and daily reporting systems is a plus.
