Head of Procurement, Data Center
General Overview:
The Head of Procurement plays a strategic leadership role, overseeing the full procurement lifecycle for all goods and services essential to a high-performance digital infrastructure. This position is responsible for crafting and executing procurement strategies, nurturing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality acquisitions to support a nationwide network of data centers and digital services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, emphasizing cost efficiency, quality enhancement, risk management, and supplier performance.
- Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, negotiating favorable contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legal standards and internal policies.
- Drive cost reduction and operational efficiency across all procurement categories, especially in areas such as power, cooling, networking, and IT hardware.
- Develop and apply risk management strategies to safeguard supply chain continuity.
- Establish and uphold procurement policies, procedures, and systems that ensure transparency, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with internal departments-Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Legal-to align procurement activities with business needs.
- Monitor industry trends and technological developments to identify emerging opportunities and challenges.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are highly desirable.
- 8-12 years of procurement experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the digital infrastructure, telecommunications, or technology sectors.
- Proven ability to manage large budgets and lead diverse teams.
- Strong background in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English, with excellent communication skills.
- Deep understanding of procurement best practices, contract law, and supply chain principles.
- Proficient in procurement and ERP systems.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
- Strong business acumen and familiarity with the digital infrastructure landscape.
