Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates for heavy civil, site work, water/wastewater treatment, transportation, and mechanical construction projects.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine labor, material, and equipment requirements.
- Develop quantity takeoffs, risk assessments, and cost models for competitive and negotiated bids.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction management, subcontractors, and suppliers to validate scope and pricing.
- Support proposal development, value engineering efforts, and schedule‑based cost forecasting.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil, site development, transportation, water/wastewater, or mechanical construction.
- Strong proficiency in estimating software and ability to read complex engineering plans.
- Knowledge of Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical construction methods and industry standards.
- Experience preparing hard bids, conceptual estimates, and design‑build/GMP packages.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
