Position Summary
The company is seeking an experienced Paving Superintendent to lead field paving operations across Southeast Wisconsin. This role is focused on coordinating people, equipment, and day to day activities to ensure safe, consistent, and high quality paving results. The ideal candidate brings deep asphalt paving experience, solid leadership skills, and the ability to keep crews organized, productive, and aligned with expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations and Crew Leadership
- Direct foremen, operators, and laborers to meet production goals and schedule requirements.
- Quality and Technical Oversight
- Train and mentor foremen, new leaders, and field employees
- Assist with hiring and field staffing needs
- Promote a positive, accountable, team driven work environment.
- Equipment and Maintenance Coordination
- Promote a strong safety culture
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 10 years of hands on asphalt paving experience, including laydown and finishing work.
- Previous leadership experience running crews in the field.
- Strong knowledge of compaction, rolling sequences, and achieving density.
- Solid understanding of paving equipment and field applications.
- Good communication, problem solving, and people management skills.
- Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
- Familiarity with CMV guidelines and safe operation requirements.
- Strong ethics, reliability, and discretion with sensitive information.
- Ability to travel throughout Southeast Wisconsin or statewide depending on project needs
