Civil/Environmental Engineer - Water/Wastewater Focus
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our Water and Wastewater Engineering Team in Orange County, California. This role will support a variety of infrastructure projects involving treatment facilities, conveyance systems, and water resources planning. You'll work alongside a collaborative team of engineers and scientists to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions for public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform engineering design and analysis for water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems.
- Support planning studies, system modeling, and alternative evaluations.
- Prepare technical reports, design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Assist with permitting and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Conduct data analysis, hydraulic modeling, and field investigations.
- Provide engineering support during construction, including submittal reviews and site visits.
- Participate in pilot testing, equipment evaluations, and field data collection.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to project meetings and client communications.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design.
- Experience with municipal utility projects in California is a plus.
Licenses & Certifications
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in California (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Technical Skills
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel; experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Hydraulic Modeling Software (e.g., InfoWater, WaterCAD, SewerCAD) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, critical thinking, and problem-solving techniques.
