Position Title: Survey Project Manager
My client is seeking a Survey Project Manager to join its team. This role involves overseeing the direction, coordination, implementation, quality assurance/quality control, and completion of professional survey services. The position also includes mentoring junior staff, ensuring client satisfaction, and contributing to business development under the guidance of regional and divisional leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project tasks, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project budgets and assess profitability, revenue, margins, billing rates, and utilization.
- Conduct team meetings to coordinate and evaluate project progress.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and equipment.
- Promote innovation and value-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with service leaders to establish and maintain procedures and quality standards.
- Ensure consistency and efficiency in survey deliverables across the team.
- Assist with staffing, workload management, and utilization planning.
- Support strategic growth initiatives for local and national survey operations.
- Provide technical expertise for business development and revenue generation.
- Foster a strong team culture aligned with organizational goals and core values.
- Uphold company policies, values, and practices within the survey service.
- Lead by example with integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
Qualifications
- Professional Survey License required (or equivalent experience for non-licensed candidates).
- Strong knowledge of land surveying and experience supporting civil engineering projects.
- Minimum of 5 years in the land surveying industry.
- Proven project management experience.
- Excellent verbal communication and independent decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
