Senior Engineer - Chemical & Slurry Systems

A global technology leader is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join its Chemical Systems team within the Global Facilities Engineering organization. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering high‑quality engineering support for the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of chemical and slurry systems across semiconductor manufacturing sites worldwide.

You will serve as a technical expert throughout all project phases, supporting global Facilities and Manufacturing teams while driving standardization, innovation, system reliability, and sustainable engineering practices.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Expertise, Leadership & Support

  • Serve as the technical domain expert for chemical and slurry systems, providing guidance to Facilities and Manufacturing teams across global sites.
  • Collaborate closely with internal partners-Technology Development, Procurement, Finance, Legal-to drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve global standards, specifications, and best-known methods (BKMs) for systems, equipment, and components.
  • Support global standardization of engineering design principles, construction execution, reliability programs, and operations/maintenance practices.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance system performance, efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Benchmark internal and external best practices to strengthen engineering methodologies.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry trends, design innovations, and sustainability advancements.

Design & Construction Project Support

  • Provide engineering expertise for large-scale facilities infrastructure and expansion projects.
  • Ensure system designs comply with relevant codes, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Develop and refine design concepts for deployment across global sites.
  • Facilitate clear communication with Facilities, Design, Construction, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams to support project delivery.
  • Review design packages thoroughly and offer detailed, actionable feedback.
  • Contribute to project cost estimations, scheduling, and justification reports.
  • Provide engineering oversight during construction phases when needed.
  • Manage and review system capacity databases and operating trends, validating utilization and diversity assumptions.
  • Guide the development of scope, schedule, and cost estimates for infrastructure upgrades or modifications.

Global Programs & Initiatives

  • Lead or support global Facilities programs, including defining objectives, roadmaps, and implementation strategies.
  • Champion sustainability initiatives aligned with corporate environmental goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or Industrial Systems Engineering.
  • 7-10 years of experience in semiconductor or facilities-related fields.
  • Strong technical background in semiconductor chemical systems, including:
    • Bulk and normal chemical systems
    • Chemical blending systems
    • Slurry systems
    • Valve manifold boxes
    • Hazardous/high‑purity chemical handling and piping
    • Chemical distribution systems
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Self-driven, well-organized, and customer‑oriented.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; proficiency in English required.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing and facilities operations.
  • Willingness to travel internationally 25-40%, with potential increases to 50-66% during major project phases.
