Are you an experienced Wetland Scientist with a passion for natural resources and a strong track record in leading wetland delineations? A well-established and respected natural resource consulting firm is seeking a motivated professional to join their team in Portland, Oregon. This is a unique opportunity to work with a mission-driven team known for scientific integrity, client-centered service, and a collaborative workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct wetland and waters delineations in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (including USACE, DSL, and local jurisdictions).

  • Prepare and review technical reports, permitting documents, and regulatory submissions.

  • Mentor junior staff and manage field teams on complex delineation and permitting projects.

  • Coordinate with clients, agencies, and interdisciplinary teams.

  • Support project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in wetland science or natural resource consulting.

  • Proven experience leading delineations and preparing permit applications under Section 404/401 of the Clean Water Act.

  • Strong understanding of Pacific Northwest ecosystems and hydrology.

  • Proficient in GPS, GIS, and wetland mapping techniques.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for fieldwork throughout Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.

Salary Range:
$85,000 - $125,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Full benefits package includes health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, generous PTO, and continuing education support.
