Audiovisual Consultant - Fort Worth Based
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented AV Consultant with strong expertise in Bluebeam Revu and a solid foundation in audio-visual system design and documentation. The ideal candidate will support AV projects from early conceptual design through construction documentation and project delivery, acting as a liaison between architects, engineers, integrators, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and review detailed AV design drawings, schematics, and system layouts using Bluebeam Revu.
Interpret architectural plans and collaborate with design teams to integrate AV systems into building infrastructure.
Produce AV system specifications, scope of work documentation, equipment lists, and construction documents.
Conduct needs assessments, site surveys, and stakeholder interviews to determine technical requirements.
Advise on appropriate AV technology solutions based on project scope, budget, and end-user needs.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including IT, electrical, acoustics, and construction management.
Attend project meetings, provide technical input, and support clients through the RFP and bid evaluation processes.
Oversee project progress to ensure compliance with design intent, standards, and client expectations.
Qualifications:
Required:
3+ years of experience in AV consulting, design, or related technical field.
Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu for document markup, drawing review, takeoffs, and design collaboration.
Strong understanding of AV systems including display, audio, control, conferencing, and infrastructure components.
Familiarity with AV design standards (e.g., AVIXA, ANSI, ADA) and construction documentation workflows.
Ability to create redlines, markups, and technical notes that are easily interpreted by engineering and construction teams.
Preferred:
Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Visio, or D-Tools.
Knowledge of structured cabling, signal flow, and AV over IP.
AVIXA CTS or CTS-D certification preferred.
Experience working in verticals such as corporate, higher education, government, or healthcare.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Primarily office or remote-based, with occasional travel to client sites, construction meetings, or field surveys.
Must be comfortable working on construction documents and architectural plan sets in a digital environment.
