Director, Transmission Planning -- Columbus, OH
A Midwest Transmission Owner is looking to bring on a Director of Transmission Planning to join the team! This position will head up the Transmission Planning group, managing a small team of transmission planning engineers in their Columbus, OH office.
The Director of Transmission & Interconnection should have the following qualifications:
- 10+ years of direct industry experience in transmission planning/power system studies
- Technical expertise in PSSE, TARA, CAPE, ASPEN, etc.
- Experience working directly in PJM/MISO markets
- Knowledge of RTO/utility tariffs/procedures & NERC/FERC regulations
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
The Director of Transmission Planning will be responsible for:
- Oversee and lead the transmission planning group
- Run and review power flow studies
- Lead advanced studies
- Coordinating between internal and external stakeholders
