Electrical Project Manager
Position Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee complex electrical construction projects in Richmond, VA. This role involves managing all phases of project delivery-from pre-construction through closeout-on high-value industrial, healthcare, and data center builds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, construction management, and client relations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of electrical construction projects, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and timeline.Team Leadership:
Manage field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality work.Client & Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication.Budget & Cost Control:
Monitor project budgets, track costs, and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality or compliance.Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations.Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, change orders, RFIs, and progress reports.Quality Assurance:
Ensure all work meets project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing electrical construction projects, preferably in industrial, healthcare, or data center sectors.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and NEC/NFPA codes.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar).
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
