Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow multidisciplinary teams on complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment facilities, pumping systems, and large-diameter conveyance systems.
  • Drive the strategic vision and growth of the local water resources practice, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a focus on long-term success.
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy to lead, manage, and expand the business.
  • Provide leadership in the following areas:
    • Upholding integrity and sound business practices
    • Developing and executing business strategies and plans
    • Setting and achieving strategic goals
    • Cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships
    • Fostering open communication with team members and partners
    • Building and leading a high-performing Water/Wastewater and Utilities practice
  • Manage projects profitably, delegate work effectively, mentor staff, and serve as a positive and inspiring leader.
  • Enjoy significant autonomy in business development and operational leadership.
  • High-performing individuals will be eligible for a generous bonus program and potential advancement to ownership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on water/wastewater project design and management.
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • Established client relationships with municipalities in the San Diego region and surrounding areas.
  • Proven track record in business development and securing project work.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and technical skills.
  • Passion for client engagement and problem-solving.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor staff and manage resources in a collaborative and positive environment.
  • Experience managing projects with a focus on profitability and quality.

Compensation

Base Salary Range: $160,000 - $260,000 annually
Eligible for performance-based bonus compensation. Actual salary will depend on qualifications, experience, and performance.
