Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Land Development Project Manager with at least 8 years of experience to lead and manage a wide range of residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects. This is a leadership role that combines technical expertise, project oversight, and client relationship management. This engineer can be located in District of Columbia, Northern Virginia, or Maryland.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on land development projects.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design tools.
  • Deep understanding of local regulations, zoning, and permitting processes.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all phases of land development projects, from conceptual planning through construction support.
  • Oversee the preparation of site layout, grading, stormwater management, and utility design plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, agencies, and consultants, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Guide and mentor a team of engineers and designers, fostering technical growth and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Prepare project proposals, scopes, budgets, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies to secure permits and approvals.
  • Drive business development by maintaining client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
