Position Summary

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of mechanical construction projects to ensure customer satisfaction, schedule adherence, contract compliance, safety, and profitability. This is a key leadership role that reports to the Executive Vice President and requires strong technical, organisational, and communication capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

  • Oversee all project management activities for assigned accounts.
  • Attend regular planning and progress meetings with project teams.
  • Provide total coordination of subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct extensive turnover and pre‑planning activities per company standards.

Project Execution

  • Prepare detailed CPM schedules using Microsoft Project.
  • Ensure all project work follows the corporate safety program.
  • Perform productivity studies and drive ongoing performance improvements.
  • Approve equipment and material submittals to maintain compliance with contract documents.

Financial Management

  • Prepare quantity takeoffs for estimating and procurement.
  • Analyze system designs for value‑engineering and design/build opportunities.
  • Provide accurate monthly forecasting and cost reporting.
  • Help ensure projects meet internal profitability goals.

Client Relationship Management

  • Provide strong customer service and follow‑up at all stages.
  • Interface effectively with customers at all levels to communicate project status.
  • Maintain long‑term relationships built on trust and performance.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical construction project management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across teams and client groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, plan, and problem‑solve in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Project.
  • High sense of urgency, attention to detail, and organizational discipline.
