Role Overview
The company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support major mechanical and industrial project work within the Austin market. This role is on‑site and hands‑on, overseeing large mechanical scopes including HVAC, piping, and plumbing. The PM will manage cost, schedule, field coordination, subcontractors, and act as the primary customer interface throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all project management functions for large mechanical scopes (piping, HVAC, plumbing, industrial systems).
- Manage scheduling, cost control, forecasting, procurement, and change management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, engineers, and GC partners.
- Coordinate closely with field leaders to drive productivity, safety, and quality.
- Oversee submittals, RFIs, documentation, and closeout.
- Utilize construction management platforms (Autodesk ACC or similar).
Required Experience
- 2+ years as a Project Manager with a mechanical or industrial contractor.
- Experience delivering large‑scale mechanical or industrial projects (complex MEP systems, multi‑million‑dollar scopes).
- Strong understanding of commercial and/or industrial mechanical systems.
- On‑site leadership experience with field teams and owners.
- Ability to manage fast‑paced, technically complex work.
- Union or open‑shop background both acceptable.
