Regional Civil Engineering Practice Leader
Overview:
A leading multidisciplinary engineering and consulting firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Civil Engineering Practice Leader to drive growth in the Columbus, Ohio metropolitan area. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a strong background in land development and a passion for building high-performing teams. The successful candidate will lead regional expansion efforts, supported by executive leadership and a robust portfolio of diverse projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead business development initiatives by cultivating new client relationships and maintaining existing ones.
- Collaborate with regional leadership to develop strategic growth plans and optimize team utilization.
- Oversee all aspects of land development engineering, integrating geotechnical and environmental considerations.
- Manage site/civil engineering projects from concept through completion, including site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, and erosion control.
- Guide the design and permitting process for residential, institutional, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments.
- Contribute to proposal development and technical writing.
- Support team development through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in site/civil engineering, with a focus on land development.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
- Proven track record in client development and relationship management.
- Proficiency in site design software such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D preferred.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Active involvement in professional organizations is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits and client meetings.
