JOB TITLE: Project Architect

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Project Architect is a licensed professional responsible for leading the design and technical development of architectural projects. This role involves producing coordinated construction documents, managing design teams, and collaborating with consultants and clients to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement in design quality and technical execution.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
8-12 years of professional experience in architecture, with strong proficiency in Revit and a portfolio that includes multifamily residential and retail projects.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead coordination of project teams to align with design intent, timelines, and budget.
  • Manage communication and collaboration with external consultants and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all documentation meets project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory codes.
  • Contribute to all phases of project development, including:
    • Building and maintaining professional relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors.
    • Supporting proposal development and defining project scope and goals.
    • Applying knowledge of building codes and construction practices.
    • Making informed decisions regarding design and documentation.
    • Delivering complete and accurate drawing and specification sets.
    • Assisting with budget planning and program development when needed.
    • Participating in internal quality reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Providing interpretation of contract documents during construction.
    • Supporting construction administration activities.
  • Stay informed about internal resources and ongoing projects.
  • Maintain professional licensure and engage in continuing education.
  • Collaborate across teams and disciplines to support organizational goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional degree in Architecture (Bachelor's or Master's) from an accredited institution.
  • Active architectural license with 8-12 years of experience.
  • Strong design and documentation capabilities across all project phases.
  • Solid understanding of building systems, codes, and market trends.
  • Proven ability to contribute to complex projects from concept through completion.
  • Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with industry-standard software tools.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.

TEAM COLLABORATION:

  • May provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Responsibilities may include task coordination, performance feedback, and support in resolving project-related challenges.
  • All team interactions are conducted in accordance with company policies and professional standards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Primarily office-based with extended periods of desk work.
  • Ability to navigate office and construction site environments independently or with assistance.
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 20 lbs.
  • Travel to project sites and client meetings may be required.
