Job Title: Senior Project Engineer - Structural/Bridge Engineering

Overview:
A well-established national engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join its growing team in Fort Worth, TX. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in bridge and structural engineering and a passion for helping build and lead a dynamic bridge engineering department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and expansion of a bridge engineering division.
- Design bridges and related transportation structures for state and municipal clients.
- Conduct field reviews of existing bridges slated for rehabilitation or replacement.
- Prepare preliminary bridge designs and structural survey reports.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on geotechnical, hydraulic, environmental, survey, and roadway design aspects.
- Develop and review structural designs, specifications, and construction plans.
- Provide technical support across multiple projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external project managers.
- Communicate project details with clients, agencies, and stakeholders.
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technical staff.
- Uphold company values and ensure consistent application of policies and best practices.
- Demonstrate leadership through integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant bridge/structural engineering experience.
- Experience with TxDOT design standards and plan preparation.
- Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD design code and TxDOT manuals.
- Proficiency in bridge design software (e.g., LEAP Bridge, Eriksson, or similar).
- Working knowledge of MicroStation or AutoCAD.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Occasional travel may be required.
