About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with proven experience in data center design to join a dynamic, fully remote team. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-impact, technically complex projects for global technology leaders-all from wherever you are in the U.S.
In this role, you'll lead the design and coordination of electrical systems for mission-critical facilities, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, resilient, and sustainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design of data center projects from concept through construction.
- Design power distribution, grounding, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
- Perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, and arc flash studies.
- Coordinate with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams in a virtual environment.
- Review and approve electrical drawings, specifications, and submittals.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure project success.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence across the team.
- Stay current with industry trends, codes, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- PE license required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Minimum 8 years of electrical design experience, with a strong focus on data centers or mission-critical facilities.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical modeling software (e.g., SKM, ETAP).
- Deep understanding of NEC, IEEE, and other relevant codes and standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a remote, collaborative environment.
