Position: Team Lead - Structural Engineering
This is a leadership role designed for someone who is ready to guide a team, contribute to strategic decisions, and drive project success. The Team Lead will oversee client relationships, project delivery, team development, and play a key role in shaping the direction of the office and its people.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead business development efforts for structural building projects
* Build and manage a portfolio of clients and long-term relationships
* Serve as project manager on structural building projects and oversee project budgets
* Direct and contribute to structural design, including design documents, calculations, and specifications
* Mentor and support the professional growth of Project Engineers and BIM specialists
* Participate in office-level decision-making and contribute to strategic planning
* Ensure quality control and provide construction administration support
* Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture
* Take on additional responsibilities as needed

Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
* Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred
* More than 10+ years of experience in structural design across various building systems and materials
* Professional Engineer Licensure is required, with preference for Illinois Structural Engineer Licensure
* Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as RISA 3D and RAM Structural System
* Experience with Revit is a plus
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and lead a team
* Relevant work experience in the United States
