BIM Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative BIM Coordinator to support the planning, development, and execution of BIM processes across mechanical construction projects. This role is responsible for coordinating 3D models, ensuring clash-free designs, and facilitating communication between design, detailing, and field teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage BIM models for mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, piping) across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure accurate and clash-free models.
• Conduct clash detection using Navisworks and lead coordination meetings to resolve issues.
• Maintain and enforce BIM standards, templates, and workflows.
• Assist in the development of fabrication-ready models and shop drawings.
• Support field teams with model-based layout and installation coordination.
• Integrate point cloud data and as-built conditions into BIM workflows.
• Provide training and technical support to project teams on BIM tools and processes.

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in BIM coordination within the mechanical or MEP construction industry.
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360 (or similar platforms).
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction sequencing.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with prefabrication and model-to-fabrication workflows.
• Familiarity with laser scanning, point cloud integration, and reality capture tools.
• Knowledge of scripting or automation tools such as Dynamo or Python for BIM.
