About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Building Automation Project Manager to lead the delivery of multi-million-dollar BAS projects across the Chicago area. This role sits at the center of some of the most complex and mission-critical facilities in the market-including large commercial buildings, hospitals, and data centers.
You'll oversee projects from award through closeout, coordinating cross-functional teams of technicians, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification. What You'll Be Doing
- Manage multiple multi-million-dollar Building Automation projects simultaneously
- Own full project lifecycle delivery: planning, execution, financial control, and closeout
- Lead and coordinate teams of BAS technicians, design engineers, and project managers
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and change orders
- Ensure scope is clearly defined, managed, and communicated throughout delivery
- Leverage technicalBAS knowledge to:
- Review designs and submittals
- Identify risks early
- Support technical decision-making
- Oversee commissioning, handover, and client acceptance
- Support team development, mentoring junior PMs and technical staff
- Contribute to process improvement, standardization, and operational excellence initiatives
