A respected architecture and consulting firm in New York City is seeking a skilled Building Envelope Consultant with 3-5 years of experience to join their team. You'll be working on a variety of projects across the five boroughs, with a strong focus on FISP/Local Law 11 compliance. The position offers a balance of site inspections, forensic analysis, and collaborative design development-perfect for someone who thrives in both the field and the studio.

Key Responsibilities
Perform on-site inspections of building façades in accordance with FISP/LL11
Document findings and prepare reports for DOB submissions
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop repair strategies
Monitor remediation work to ensure compliance with design and safety standards
Analyze envelope systems including masonry, curtain walls, waterproofing, and roofing
Stay current with NYC building codes and DOB regulations
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in building envelope consulting
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with FISP/LL11 projects
Comfortable conducting field inspections, including scaffold drops and roof access
Strong understanding of façade systems and deterioration mechanisms
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office; Revit is a plus
Excellent communication and report-writing skills
Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field (PE or RA license a plus but not required)
Based in NYC or able to commute regularly to job sites
