Position: Certified Hydrogeologist

Location: West Coast (Washington, Oregon, California)
Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 per annum

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Certified Hydrogeologist to join our Client's nationwide environmental consulting team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality hydrogeologic services across diverse projects, including groundwater investigations, aquifer testing, groundwater modeling, and site investigation/remediation. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing complex hydrogeologic projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership:

    • Design and implement hydrogeologic investigations, including groundwater sampling, aquifer characterization, and pumping tests.
    • Develop and calibrate groundwater flow and contaminant transport models using industry-standard software.
  • Project Management:

    • Lead multidisciplinary teams on site investigation and remediation projects.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Client Engagement:

    • Collaborate with clients to define project objectives and deliverables.
    • Provide technical presentations and reports to stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance:

    • Maintain high standards of data integrity, analysis, and reporting.
    • Support internal training and mentoring for junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in hydrogeologic consulting with expertise in groundwater modeling, aquifer testing, and remediation projects.
  • Certification: Professional Hydrogeologist (CHg) or equivalent state certification.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in groundwater modeling software (e.g., MODFLOW, Visual MODFLOW).
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
