We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Company Representative to lead our client's operations in Taiwan within the renewable energy sector. This role represents the company internally and externally across the country, fostering a cohesive and high-performing work environment while strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, clients, academia, and suppliers.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the renewable energy market in Taiwan, demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, and be adept at supporting cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Country Representation:
Serve as the primary representative of the company in Taiwan, engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders such as government bodies, industry associations, clients, subcontractors, media, and local authorities.
2. Talent & Culture:
Promote an inclusive and inspiring workplace culture. Lead local communication in alignment with global standards and support talent development through career progression planning and retention initiatives. Actively foster diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
3. Operational Support:
Coordinate across business and service lines to ensure effective and efficient allocation of resources and assets within Taiwan. Support local operations in delivering high-quality regional projects.
4. Client Engagement:
Maintain strong relationships with key local clients, ensuring integrated service offerings and cross-functional collaboration among business lines to meet client needs.
5. Financial Oversight:
While not directly responsible for P&L, oversee cost control and budgeting for local operations to ensure fiscal responsibility without compromising business goals.
6. Office & Facility Management:
Oversee the management and optimization of office facilities in Taiwan. Make recommendations on investments or divestments related to local infrastructure and resources.
7. Shared Services Management:
If applicable, lead local shared services functions (Finance, HR, HSSE, Legal, IT, Procurement, Tax) in close coordination with regional leadership. Ensure clear lines of communication and cost allocation between shared services and business units.
8. Statutory Compliance & Governance:
Ensure adherence to all local laws and regulations, including employment and tax compliance. Act as the local point of contact for employee representation groups or works councils.
9. HSSE Leadership:
Demonstrate strong commitment to Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) leadership. Uphold company HSSE standards and promote a proactive safety culture across all business activities.
10. Ethical & Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all staff embody the company's values, comply with the Code of Conduct, and adhere to safety and compliance standards to maintain a healthy and respectful working environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in a technical or business discipline
8-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3-8 years in a leadership or management role
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
Proven ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
Results-oriented, self-motivated, and committed to operational excellence
Must be based in Taipei, Taiwan
