Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations for high-value commercial construction projects exceeding $20 million. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex job sites, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence from groundbreaking through final turnover.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all on-site construction activities and serve as the primary point of contact for field operations.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel to ensure timely and quality execution.
Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant job site.
Monitor project schedules, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
Conduct daily site meetings, inspections, and progress reporting.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve field issues and maintain alignment with project goals.
Ensure all work complies with plans, specifications, and local building codes.
Qualifications:
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years managing projects over $20M.
Proven ability to lead large field teams and manage multiple trades on complex job sites.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and safety regulations.
Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
OSHA 30 certification required; First Aid/CPR preferred.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with large-scale commercial, institutional, or healthcare projects.
Familiarity with union labor environments and Cleveland-area subcontractor networks.
LEED project experience or sustainable construction knowledge is a plus.
