A well-established industrial engineering organisation known for delivering high-performance automation systems across multiple industries, is seeking a Controls / Software Engineer to support the design, development, and commissioning of control systems for industrial machinery.
This is a hands-on Controls / Automation Engineering role where you'll be involved across the full project lifecycle - from initial design and programming through to commissioning and customer support.
You'll work on both new machinery and retrofit projects, giving you strong exposure to real-world engineering challenges rather than just maintenance or support work
Responsibilities:
- Design and program PLC-based control systems
- Develop HMI/SCADA interfaces
- Create electrical schematics and panel designs
- Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Work on retrofit and upgrade projects
- Collaborate with engineering and field teams
Requirements:
- 2+ years' experience in controls / automation engineering
- PLC programming experience (Allen Bradley preferred)
- HMI/SCADA experience
- Experience with electrical design tools (AutoCAD Electrical or similar)
Additional Info:
- ~10% travel
- Full lifecycle project work (design → commissioning)
- Exposure to a variety of machinery and systems
